A quick and simple crispy garlic and ginger recipe to get you out of a pickle and pack some flavour punch.
Ingredients:
- 2x Chicken breasts
- Salt + Pepper
- Cornflour
- 25g Butter
- Kick Garlic Ginger paste
- Vegetable oil
- 4tbsp Soy sauce
- 4tbsp honey
- Spring onion (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Flatten chicken breasts
- Bring a shallow pan of vegetable oil to temperature (you should be able to just submerge the flattened chicken)
- Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste (more salt is not a bad thing here)
- Place cornflour on a separate plate and transfer seasoned chicken to the plate. Make sure you coat both sides of the chicken in Cornflour.
- Place the chicken in the hot oil, and leave until golden turning as necessary.
- While the chicken is cooking it’s time to add a kick, place 25g of butter in a pan and start to heat.
- As the butter begins to melt add 2 Teaspoons of Kick Garlic Ginger Paste to the pan
- Add 4 tablespoons of Soy Sauce and mix ensuring the paste doesn’t burn.
- Add 4 tablespoons of honey, stir and bring to a light simmer.
- Once your chicken is cooked transfer to a chopping board and slice into good sized strips.
- Transfer your chicken and mix with the sauce for 1 minute
- Served best with Rice and add some chopped Spring Onions to garnish
