Honey Garlic and Ginger Chicken

A quick and simple crispy garlic and ginger recipe to get you out of a pickle and pack some flavour punch.

Ingredients:

  • 2x Chicken breasts
  • Salt + Pepper
  • Cornflour
  • 25g Butter
  • Kick Garlic Ginger paste
  • Vegetable oil
  • 4tbsp Soy sauce
  • 4tbsp honey
  • Spring onion (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Flatten chicken breasts
  2. Bring a shallow pan of vegetable oil to temperature (you should be able to just submerge the flattened chicken)
  3. Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste (more salt is not a bad thing here)
  4. Place cornflour on a separate plate and transfer seasoned chicken to the plate. Make sure you coat both sides of the chicken in Cornflour.
  5. Place the chicken in the hot oil, and leave until golden turning as necessary.
  6. While the chicken is cooking it’s time to add a kick, place 25g of butter in a pan and start to heat.
  7. As the butter begins to melt add 2 Teaspoons of Kick Garlic Ginger Paste to the pan
  8. Add 4 tablespoons of Soy Sauce and mix ensuring the paste doesn’t burn.
  9. Add 4 tablespoons of honey, stir and bring to a light simmer.
  10. Once your chicken is cooked transfer to a chopping board and slice into good sized strips.
  11. Transfer your chicken and mix with the sauce for 1 minute
  12. Served best with Rice and add some chopped Spring Onions to garnish
