Chana Masala

Chana Masala is an Indian takeaway staple, and the good news is that with our Kick Chilli Garlic Ginger paste and Kick Garam Masala, it is even quicker, easier and tastier than your favourite curry house! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tin of chickpeas
  • 1/2 tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp of rapeseed oil
  • 2 teaspoons of Kick Chilli Garlic Ginger paste
  • 1 + 1/2 teaspoons of Kick Garam Masala
  • Salt and Pepper to taste 

 

Instructions:

  • Heating the Oil:
    • Add one tablespoon of rapeseed oil to a pan on medium-high heat.
  • Cooking the Aromatics:
    • When the oil is hot, add two tablespoons of Kick Chilli Garlic Ginger paste and sauté in the hot oil until fragrant.
  • Adding Tomatoes:
    • Add half a tin of chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Adding Spices:
    • Add one and a half teaspoons of Kick Garam Masala and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Adding Chickpeas:
    • Add a tin of drained chickpeas and cook through for 4-5 minutes.
  • Seasoning:
    • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Finishing:
    • Add the juice of a quarter of a lemon.
